Massage in pregnancy is a wonderful experience when delivered by experts. Developed in conjunction with a registered midwife, this perfectly pampering pre or post baby treatment has been created with the comfort and care of you in mind. Tailored to your needs the Sanctuary Spa Mum To Be Massage uses sumptuous midwife approved Mum-to-Be products which are Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Paraben free, alongside midwife approved pre and post natal massage techniques to ease away tension for the ultimate relaxation experience.
To complete the massage treatment skin is cocooned in a warming body butter and stretch mark oil to leave skin feeling soft, smooth and exquisitely nourished. A real pregnancy treat for soon to be mums or new mums.
Please note you should be at least 15 weeks pregnant before beginning any Pregnancy Massage treatments. If you are having a high-risk pregnancy it is best to discuss your condition with your midwife or physician before seeking a pregnancy massage therapist. For your RTG treatment all you need to do is to decide where in your home you would like it to take place. We recommend a quiet, warm room for massages. Your therapist will arrive with everything you need for your appointment. We do not use the specialist massage bed with a hole for our pregnancy massage treatments. There is evidence that in the long term these can be harmful to the spine and back. Findings on the beds with the hole show there may be strains to the lumbar, uterine and pelvic structures, the SI joints can be rotated, there may increased strain on sacrouterine ligaments and the posterior musculature is shortened. Also lumbar vertebrae and lumbosacral junction may be compressed and anteriorly displaced.
While your pregnancy massage therapist is setting up you will be asked to fill out our massage contra-indication form. At the end of your home treatment your therapist will retire to let you get settled in your own robe, then quietly return to pack up and leave you to rest and enjoy the benefits of your treatment for the rest of the day or evening. If at any time during your home massage treatment you would like to extend your time please do ask your therapist. At the end feel free to put your next session in the diary with your therapist so you have another thing ticked off your list and your next appointment to look forward to. Drink plenty of water after your massage treatment and allow yourself time to rest.

Kylie gave me a fantastic massage and used good pressure - she has extremely strong hands so can really dig in to the sore muscles. I will be booking with her again!
