Mobile Gel Nails – Do’s and Don’t
Officially now and finally our most favourite mobile nails treatment: The no chip, 3 Week Gel Manicure. Yes – I’ve had it, Yes – I’ve loved it – and Yes – It’s pulled apart my nails too.
For busy people (and the one thing our clients have is that they’re all busy) these Gel Manicures are a god-send. All we want is to look perfect, all the time, with the minimum amount of time spent. That’s what Gels are all about. And in home (with all your other treatments in one go, in front of the telly / computer) makes it even more efficient.
BUT. And as usual there are buts. T here are a few things that the salon’s won’t tell you too often about the Gel Nails.
Don’t Chip Away. It’s too tempting if they are starting to peel to chip away at them. Really, don’t. You will rip apart your nail bed.
Don’t wear them 4 or more times consecutively. Your nails will want to breath – you need a break to keep them strong.
Do have a tub of pure acetone in your house in case you get tempted to start pealing them. It’s better to take them off that ruin your nail beds. (All I do is soak the cotton wool in the acetone, tape it around my fingers (yes, really) and carry on doing what I’m doing for 20 minutes. )
Do book when having them put on to have them taken off to reapply or rest them. When you know when they’re being reapplied you know how long you’ll be looking after them for. Easy and efficient.
