Yoga for Beauty – Get that Yoga Glow!
People ask me; “how do you get that glow?” Well, its better than anything you could buy in a bottle. It is more permanent. You can always tell a yoga teacher… they have a kind of glow about them.
Circulation and oxygenation is important to your skin. Postures and breathing techniques can increase your circulation, bring in more oxygen and detoxify and increase your blood supply. This can help you achieve glowing, radiant skin. Some of the postures and breathing techniques encourage deep relaxation. When your body is deeply rested, it automatically shows on your face.
Some of the reported benefits of yoga are: increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, maintaining a balanced metabolism, circulatory health, to name a few. These things all contribute to a natural, youthful, healthy glow.
There is a lot to be said about breathing and bringing more oxygen into your body. The breathing techniques, called pranayama, are effective detoxifying techniques. Through forceful exhalation in some of the pranayama techniques, detoxification begins, the first effect of which shows in the form of naturally glowing skin.
Meditation and mindfulness of breathing, or attention to the breath, relieves stress. The more you do, the more you will radiate from within and it will show in your eyes and on your skin. Who needs makeup then? Meditation will be your natural long-lasting make-up and makes you look youthful and beautiful!
Improved respiration, energy, flexibility and vitality, only a few of the benefits, can give you that “yoga glow” and people will wonder if you have found the fountain of youth.
